Job Experience

Cyber Security Analyst at Deloitte Spain

Deloitte · Full-time Dec 2023 – Present · 2 yrs 3 mos Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain · Hybrid

Cybersecurity has always been one of my favourite fields. Already during the career, we used to do one subject called Computer Security where we saw the basics of Cybersecurity.

A nice teacher joined with a personal motivation made Cybersecurity my preference when trying to find a job. That's why, after I finished my internship, I applied for some Cybersecurity related job offers. Spoiler done in the title, I ended up in Deloitte Spain, working as a Cybersecurity Consultant.

  • Currently managing Imperva and AWS Web Application Firewall (WAF) solutions to deliver large-scale web protection for a major financial institution. Responsibilities include detailed periodic reporting and Layer 7 attack analysis to enhance WAF rule sets and improve overall application protection.
  • Conducted a comprehensive cybersecurity analysis for a scale-up company, identifying vulnerabilities in its security infrastructure and providing solutions and recommendations to mitigate risks and strengthen overall security. The final recommendation focused on implementing a full SASE solution to deliver a more unified and scalable security architecture.
  • Managed and maintained the Identity and Access Management (IAM) infrastructure for a large insurance company, ensuring secure authentication, authorization, and compliance with industry regulations while enforcing IAM security principles such as least privilege and role-based access control (RBAC).

Internship as a Software Engineer at CSUC

One can think that an internship can be useless or only something for the CV, but here I'll explain what I did so you take that idea out of your mind.

First of all let me present the company where I did my internship for 6 months, it's called CSUC and the logo looks like this:

CSUC logo

Nice, isn't it? Well it's nice actually, it's a company that works mainly for the Catalan Government (Generalitat de Catalunya), and therefore, they maintain and do all type of IT work that you can imagine.

Time to explain what I did there, not big projects as you can imagine but still some interesting stuff:

  • Bash scripting to automatize daily tasks
  • Front and backend development
